Back in 2004, fresh from completing the 'Maya Comprehensive' course at Escape Studios, I jetted off to New Zealand to join the motion edit department at Weta Digital, working on King Kong. Having decided to return to London, I kick-started my animation career with two years at Steel Drum Studios (now defunct) where got a real taste of the TV advertising industry : Big projects with tight dead-lines.
After a year at the Disney Channel, I returned to the free-lance circuit and furthered my professional experience with stints at the likes of Glassworks, Not to Scale and Th1ng. This led to a lengthy spell at MPC London, as a Senior Animator in the commercials department working on projects including 'Ademe - Garbage Monster', 'Channel 4 - Ruins Ident' and the multi-award winning 'Cadburys - Spots vs Stripes' commercial - before being made Animation Supervisor on a number of jobs.
I am now at Double Negative. I initially joined the animation team on Disney's 'John Carter', which proved to be the most intense and thrilling year of my career so far. I am currently working on Len Wiseman's re-imagining of 'Total Recall'.. What ever next..?
